Graduate + reaches a new step forward in its roll-out

Seven applications were considered. Five projects were selected on the basis of their ability to meet the strategic objectives of the project and of Lyon 1.

In addition to the nine existing GI at Lyon 1, three new ones have been created to cover complementary fields:

• GRAPHE (Graduate school Research & Advanced Public Health Education) will bring together courses focusing in particular on prevention, global health, clinical research methods, biostatistics and epidemiology.
• Rehabilitation Sciences will develop several specialisation pathways within the Master’s in Health programme, focusing on disability, cognition, health technologies and motor rehabilitation.
• INSPIRE+ (INnovation in SPort, Inclusion, Resilience, HEalth and Education) will combine courses in the science and technology of physical and sporting activities with courses in gender studies.

At the same time, two GI originally attached to the ENS in Lyon have seen their scope expanded to include other courses at Lyon 1:

• DynLifeSys will expand its scope in the fields of biology and biochemistry;
• PACE will incorporate new degree programmes in physics, materials science, Earth and planetary sciences, as well as ocean, atmospheric and climate sciences.

The integration of the winning projects will enable the levers proposed by Graduate+ to be utilised even more widely: research placements at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, access to scientific platforms, international mobility, excellence scholarships, hosting visiting scientists, summer schools and thematic schools, mentoring, and engagement with socio-economic sectors.

This expansion forms part of a long-term institutional strategy. It aims to make study pathways clearer, to strengthen their links with research laboratories, and to promote coherent progression from master’s to doctoral level. It also supports the implementation of shared standards in the areas of recruitment, internationalisation, monitoring and evaluation.
