International
The International Relations Department (DRI) is responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of the university’s international cooperation policy in collaboration with the university’s governing body and the Office of the President.
The DRI is responsible for the operational implementation of this policy in collaboration with the university’s academic units, research units, other departments/services, and its partners.
To this end, it relies on cooperation agreements, the Erasmus+ program (300 Erasmus+ agreements and 145 non-Erasmus+ agreements), and the Arqus European University Alliance, of which it is a member.
Each university department has a Faculty International Office composed of an International Mobility Coordinator (CMI) and an International Mobility Assistant (AMI).

Scan Nano Treat: “All-in-One” Nanoparticles for Imaging and Treating Cancer
- Unknown label
Today, cancer care relies on a series of steps—diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up—spread across multiple hospital departments, which risks prolonging the patient’s care journey. The European Scan Nano Treat project, coordinated by Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University and funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC) Transition, aims to transform this model using “all-in-one” nanoparticles that combine cancer imaging and treatment. At the intersection of chemistry, medical imaging, and innovation, this project opens up major opportunities for medicine and technology transfer to industry.
