Application Process

You can consider a study abroad program as part of your bachelor’s degree (starting in the 3rd year), master’s degree, BUT, or health-related programs.

You should start planning your project one year before your departure date. First, contact the International Mobility Assistant (AMI) in your school or department, who will inform you about mobility and funding opportunities and support you in carrying out your project. They will put you in touch with the International Mobility Coordinator (CMI), who will advise you on course selections at your host university, in coordination with the academic advisor for your program.

Each university department holds an information session in early October. Don’t miss it! There, you will fill out a preference form to indicate your top destination choices. Following this session, you can obtain an application packet from your department’s AMI, who will explain the procedure to follow based on your exchange program.

Your study abroad plan must align with your French academic program in order to validate your coursework and continue your studies upon your return to France. The academic choices regarding the courses you will take must therefore be prepared and approved by the CMI and the academic advisor for your program. Their signatures will be required for your application.

The composition of your application package will depend on the program in which your mobility is taking place. The documents it contains are specific to each host university and can be downloaded from its website.

Please note that application deadlines are generally between January and April for study abroad programs beginning the following September.

You must also ensure that you choose a destination authorized by the university.
