Conference, workshops, exhibit ... come join the study day on June 28, 2019 organised by the Mission Handicap of University Claude Bernard Lyon 1, in collaboration with the Intenational Astronomical Union (IAU)

In celebration of our 25th year anniversary, the Mission Handicap of University Claude Bernard Lyon 1, in collaboration with the International Astronomical Union (IAU), is organising a bilingual study day Enabling Science / Inclusive Science on Friday June 28, 2019.
Scientists from around the world will arouse your curiosity through brief presentations and then join you in small discussion groups during the afternoon.
All presentations and workshops will be accessible in both English and French.

For 25 years, the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1, through its Mission Handicap, has advocated for inclusion and equity for disabled students. The Mission Handicap of Lyon 1 accompanies over 800 students on 11 geographical locations and serves as an all-encompassing, central resource on disability-related information, procedures and services. We are committed to providing a welcoming and accessible learning environment, while ensuring compliance with university regulations and national laws. We accompany students through study and exam periods, from internships to employment, during their requests for national disability recognition and doctoral scholarships, and when they play sports.

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in:
  • a series of short, action-oriented talks, wherein ten panellists will share their research and teaching strategies, viewpoints, suggestions, and motivations;
  • workshops to discuss disability in the context of university studies and research;
  • the Inspiring Stars exhibit featuring a listening telescope.
